As part of my surgery recovery, I've been doing some light shopping ::giggle:: Here's a couple cheap fashion finds I'm loving this week:

Skinny jeans, on sale for $19.99 at Kmart this week:

Juniors sizes only, 1-17.

Cute tops, $11.24 each, also Kmart

XS-XL

Pair all of the above with these fall-preview shoes (I predict a hot trend here: oxford and saddle shoes w/ flair..)

$24.80 at Forever 21

Welcome to yet another edition of "I got something REALLY CHEAP at Express!"

Check this beauty out. Originally $128, I snagged it for $25. It's gorgeous beyond gorgeous:

I can't remember if I wrote about the dress here or not, but I fell in love with it when I first got a flier in the mail about the flowery pieces. I was hoping it would be $50, but this price, it's really a steal. There are skirts in this same fabric for around the same price on clearance as well.

Needless to say, the bargain bins and racks are out at Express :) Get some basic shirts for under $10 and other items as well.

Right now, I am reporting that the beginning of the Fall 2008 clothes are already hitting the stores. Not into it yet? Frankly, neither am I seeing as it's lovely 90F outside as I write. Yet, since the Fall stuff is arriving, the summer stuff must go, and this means clearance sales are ALREADY happening. Some highlights I noticed on my shopping excursion last night:

60% off at Banana Republic.

H&M: Tops and bottoms starting at $5 and $10 respectively.

JCPenny: 60% off summer stuff, w/ an additional 20% off in some cases.

Charlotte Russe: Markdowns all over the store, with some tops only $6. Also to note, all their shoes are buy one, get one pair for $10.

Payless is starting to clear out summer shoes as well, including pairs for $7 and up.

Nine West: Shoes that were once around the $100 mark are at or about $35 (give or take a couple bux).

Aldo: also having a sale on pumps, about 30% off prices.

many many other stores having markdowns as well. Now is the time to buy up pieces you can wear now -- and get a going on your Fall fashion list of items to look out for going on sale in the next couple of months.

Let me know if you found anything cheap lately due to fast-forwarding of the seasons in the fashion world!

I came across this cutie just now:

Just $25 at Forever 21!

Also, can you believe FALL CLOTHES are already arriving in stores? That's simply nuts! I'm still excited anyhow. For the clothes, not the cooler weather pre-winter. Yick.

I suck! I've been busy with summer classes and preparing for my Rush concert, plus my breast reduction in July. Also, work has been picking up and I haven't had time to search...

So...if you request a certain kind of blog to be written, maybe I will get my ass on it!!

It's been so hot/summery and the economy/gas prices have been so bad that I haven't done much shopping for myself. But tomorrow, I am headed to a garage sale where the woman who runs it is notorious for having brand new clothes there, complete with the tags still on the clothes. Those who go to this annual sale dont really know why everything being sold is brand new (and maybe we don't want to know why), but that's what usually happens here.

I'll report back here if I find anything fashionny. I've gotten new Ann Taylor Blouses, Talbots skirts and a new Harley motorcycle helmet there before for literally spare dollars. The last is non-fashion of course, but essential for riding ;) ANYHOW, hehe

If you think you want to head out to the "someone else's trash is another's treasure" world, make sure to look in the right places. Scope out neighborhood sales advertised online, like craiglist and your local papers. Also, cruise around affluent neighborhoods where higher brands are likely to be found in purses, accessories and other clothing items. Plus they might be less "worn out" since rich people can afford to replace they're Kate Spade bag every year (I'm green with envy!) And always remember, if a price is too high, ask the seller to negotiate. People mostly just want to get rid of the stuff in the first place, so there's a good chance you'll get an even better deal on something you can call "vintage" after buying it! You can't talk your way down in prices in Macy's.

Has anyone found any good deals lately? Please share and get me out of my "the economy sucks!" rut. :)

A long long time ago, Express had denim editor pants. In other words, jeans that were still jeans but could be pulled off professionally, even on non-Fridays. I remember even passing them up in a sale and have been kicking myself since. Well, I'm glad to announce that Express has returned this look:

$69.50

These are now added to the "Wait Until They Go On Sale" queue. Will update as soon as they do!

In other news, these are super hideous but apparently making a comback?? (see the Glamour blog Slaves to Fashion )

I'm contemplating getting this belt from the site, what do you all think???

Many thanks to a coworker on this one!

In honor of the Sex and the City movie out this weekend (and my recent shopping trip), I'm happy to report some great shoe finds:

Nine West is FINALLY having a near-clearance sale on early spring/summer shoes. I'm talking shoes for under $50 a pop, which is some cases is 50% off. Finally, I can spend my gift card from Christmas and STILL not break my bank!

If you dig heels, heels and MORE heels, go to Charlotte Russe and find heels in practically every color, shape and style. And they are ALL $24.99 and under.

Now, I am happy to report Payless has acquired some more styles other than flip flops and thong sandals. They are having a summer sale right now so hit it up if you want summer shoes in all styles, not just sky-high heels.

Lemme ask you guys: What kinds of SATC shoes (or style in general) are you sporting lately?

Did some looking around this weekend, and I found some stores to find some bargains in:

Maurices is a chain that has been around for a while I believe and the stores are few and far between. They have young looking fashions for a decent price. Check out the link above.

Also, it may seem granny on the outside, but Dress Barn has not only great dresses for any occasion or age, but awesome clothes otherwise. Most of the tops I saw this weekend were around the $30 mark. Not bad!

This store is for more mature women, but they're sizes are regular, petite and womens. And as I always say, there can be a bargain found anywhere. If some of the clothing turns you off, try these sandals for $19.95:

Purrrty! find them here.

Have you discovered any new stores lately? Do share!

By the way, that Asian store I went to in SoHo last week? They have a website. Check out the awesomeness that is Pearl River!
